Starting June 1st, new CLP regulations have gone into effect. To some this is a monumental constraint, but to HTS BIO and ECOWAY, it represents a tremendous opportunity…
What are we talking about?
CLP’s new labeling rules for chemical products require pictograms that illustrate potential risks, as well as new wording for easier understanding.
In addition, the rules for product ingredients have become more stringent, lowering the allowable percentage of some substances considered risky.
These new regulations cover both the packaging and product ingredients.
Zero hazard labeling, zero compromise
As you know: at HTS BIO, making sure products are both people- and planet-friendly is our top priority.
Faced with changing regulations, there are two approaches:
- Resist it and stick both feet in the past, “it was better before”…
- Or welcome it! And benefit by asking: “how can I do better?”.
Naturally, it’s the latter attitude that we have chosen to adopt. Maintain zero risk labeling? This is a tremendous opportunity! Not only are we preserving our no hazard labels standard but, in so doing, we are making our products even better and more sustainable.
Seize the change
Regulations evolve. So do we. We anticipated this transformation. And, since eco-excellence is always our number one goal, a majority of the ECOWAY® products were already in compliance with the new CLP rules.
As part of the evolution of ECOWAY, we eco-optimized our formulas with new plant-based components — all while preserving and strengthening the products’ effectiveness.
Anticipation of the new CLP rules further mobilized internal energy in support of our mission to offer the most efficient, sustainable and safest products available.
By evolving ahead of new environmental standards, the ECOWAY® line continues to be the industry standard for effective and eco-friendly cleaning and maintenance products..
The lesson that we take away? It’s always possible to go further in eco-design.
